LOCATION, TRANSPORTATION, LODGING, MEALS
Lodging: For 2027, the program will be held in a new lodging location (not the YMCA), which will be posted soon.
Because of past incidents, Sean cannot introduce or recommend potential roommates to each other due to potentially conflicting personalities, snoring, or other issues that can arise between strangers. Also, because of the late-night training you will do in your room, it may be advisable to not have a roommate (unless it's a romantic partner or close friend who will be very forgiving if you wake them up :-) ).
Meals: Participants will provide for their own meals. Lunch breaks will be 2 hours long to allow for visits to the grocery store, go to restaurants, or to use Door Dash.
Location and Transportation: Estes Park can be easily reached from Denver International Airport via the Estes Park Shuttle. Much of the training will take place inside the dedicated classroom space, indoors. But some of the training will occur in various locations in town, as well as inside Rocky Mountain National Park. Therefore, carpooling will be necessary.

INTRODUCTION
This year's Mind Possible program is titled The Primordial Initiation because it relates to ecstasy as derived from the Greek word ekstasis, meaning "to stand outside oneself." Ecstasy, or the out of body experience, is understood to be foundational to the earliest spiritual traditions across various continents. Whether occurring spontaneously or intentionally, the OBE, as the experience of consciously dissociating from one's physical body, caused our ancient ancestors to experience non-ordinary states of consciousness, including awareness of non-physical dimensions. This was the seed of what we call "spirituality."
Therefore, the OBE is regarded as The Primordial Initiation because it is a profound experience drastically altering a person's understanding of selfhood (and non-self), perception, meaning, and what it is to live and die.
In northern Greece, on Mt. Athos, there is an inscription above a door at St. Paul's monastery that translates to say, "If you die before you die, then when you die, you won't die." This quote and similar others have been attributed to the Sufi poet Rumi and various modern spiritual teachers.
Buddhism stresses the notion that there is no permanent, singular "thing" that could be labeled the self, or the "me." Thus, living life as if we are unchanging, permanent, and identifying solely with our physical body, thoughts, feelings, and emotions leads to fundamental frustration, unhappiness, and disappointment. Thus, to "die before you die" in a Buddhist context is to see through the illusion of ego and truly experience our non-self, experiencing life with a more flexible and accurate perspective. The thing that we fear will die one day, the "me" identity, never truly existed in the first place, at least not quite the way we thought it did.
Prehistoric societies' spiritual guides and healers relied (and still do in certain parts of the world) on the state of ecstasy to see what cannot be seen with physical eyes, and to communicate with beings on other planes of existence. (Note: because of the over-generalized and culturally appropriated use of the word "shaman," that term is avoided here whenever possible.)
The above references are to illustrate that the OBE is intrinsic to all humanity, and it pre-dates modern organized religion. It does not require another person's special "blessing," "empowerment" or "permission" to be experienced.
To go through the primordial initiation, all that is needed is the combination of strong desire and the repeated application of certain techniques involving the body and mind. With that, the out of body experience and lucid dreaming grant an individual the direct realization, through lived experience (not mere belief), that they are more than their ordinary physical existence.
Some people will come to this intensive to explore non-physical reality. Others will come to resolve their fear of death. Some wish to communicate with those already on the other side. Others are dreamers, healers, or seers. Why will you come?
Note: This is a drug and alcohol-free event. Cannabis users should know that it inhibits dream activity by suppressing REM-stage sleep, and is counterproductive to the goals of this intensive.

DEFINITIONS
Out of Body Experience (aka astral travel, soul flight):
The experience of consciously separating from one's physical body to experience either the local, physical environment, or other realms/frequencies of perception. It is common, but not necessarily required, for one to experience the vibrational state and other separation signals prior to exteriorization (see Renegade Mystic for details).
Lucid Dreaming:
The awareness that you are in a dream while the dream is still in progress, with the ability to exert conscious will and decision-making (instead of being on "autopilot" as in typical dreams). Lucid dreaming can also be used as a platform to initiate out of body experiences. Lucid dreaming does not involve the vibrational state or separation signals.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
For 5 days, we will engage in powerful techniques of body and mind intended to initiate both lucid dreams and the out of body experience. Most of the training will utilize meditation, hypnosis, subtle-energy work, and visualization, all done lying down.
We will also travel to nearby locations to use large-scale machinery to provoke sensory/movement related experiences for recall during some of the visualization practices. Think "amusement park."
Weather permitting, we will also spend time in nature, inside Rocky Mountain National Park, in the daytime as well as at night, to practice techniques the way prehistoric humans did. This time of year in Colorado is especially beautiful with its golden aspen leaves and increased elk activity.
We may also include telepathy and psychokinesis exercises to aid in expanding consciousness.
Some of our techniques will involve small-group work, therefore it is essential that everyone attend every portion of the training, arriving on time and staying until the end of each exercise. It is best to take the attitude that you are not here solely for your own benefit, but to help others succeed as well.
Overall, participants should expect to be fully engaged in the training starting after breakfast until dinner time each day. And then, training will continue independently inside your own room at bedtime and even later at night (during the "interrupted sleep" technique segments).

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT YOU MUST BRING WITH YOU:
Your "Nest"
Everyone will need to bring their own "nest," such as a thick yoga mat, inflatable sleeping pad, memory foam pad, or thick sleeping bag or blankets, pillows, or a combination of these. Sean considered purchasing sleeping pads for everyone but realized that everyone has different body types, sensitivities, and other requirements to be comfortable lying on the floor for an extended period of time.
Therefore, the best solution is for everyone to bring their own unique nest so they'll be as comfortable as possible.
If you don't already know what you'll use for your nest, it is recommended to visit your local outdoor gear store and lie down on various sleeping solutions to determine a comfortable one, and one you can easily travel with. For example, REI has several solutions at various price ranges:
A good option is REI's Campwell Sleeping Pad (some folks might consider buying two and stacking them)
Another is the Monstamat Single 3D Sleeping Pad
A deluxe option offering the most comfort is the HEST Foamy Sleeping Pad, though it is bulky, which may be difficulty for air travelers.
It is strongly advised that you try out a solution in person before purchasing it (which you can do in stores like REI), and that if you purchase an inflatable solution, that you do inflate it at home to ensure it has NO leaks before coming to the program. Buying a fast-acting patch kit is also a good idea.

Your Journal
A journal will be necessary for recording dreams and OBE-related experiences in the weeks leading up to the program, and for use during the program. A plain notebook will do, but many people find it helpful to use something with a beautiful cover to convey special meaning and importance to it, which is quite helpful to do from a psychological perspective. If you wait to get your journal until you arrive in Estes Park, visit Inkwell & Brew for an excellent selection of beautifully appointed journals.
Supportive/Inspirational Reading Material
It is very helpful to read various books about lucid dreaming and the out of body experience during intensive training. Doing so reinforces one's intention in the subconscious mind to have these experiences.
Participants will need to finish reading Sean's book "Renegade Mystic" (second edition) before arriving to the program. If you haven't met Sean in person before, the best option to feel more familiar with him is probably to listen to the audiobook version, which he narrated.
The book describes his process of cultivating his first and subsequent OBEs and lucid dreams, and describes some of the techniques he used. Keep in mind that techniques not taught in his book will be used during this intensive.
Reading his book before arriving to the program will save time by giving you the detailed description of the various stages of lucid dreaming and out of body experiences. Regarding OBEs, pay careful attention when reading Sean's descriptions of the process of separating (dissociating) from the physical body, especially the vibrational state.

Headphones
You'll need to bring good headphones to connect to your phone during group training, and at night. Sean will be providing participants with custom guided meditation/visualization recordings, accessed via his personal app.
** You might consider also bringing small speakers to place on your nightstand so that your sleep isn't complicated by wearing headphones in bed.

SETTING EXPECTATIONS
It is impossible to guarantee that you will have an out of body experience or lucid dream during the program, although it is totally possible for it to happen.
Your experience will be determined by your personal belief system, subconscious fears/limitations, complicating factors like illness, pain, or difficulty concentrating/imagining/visualizing, trauma history, and other psychological factors.
The best expectation that can be set is that you will receive vigorous training in a variety of techniques that, if continued at home afterward for a sufficient duration, will bring you closer to having a full-blown OBE and/or lucid dream, if not taking you all the way, depending on your limitations mentioned above.
Do not bother bringing binaural beats or similar sound recordings, because we will not be using anything like that in this training.
It will be important for participants to focus only on the techniques taught during the program. For example, you wouldn't attend a workshop on French cooking and practice your Asian flavors instead while you're there, right? No, that would confuse you, and possibly confuse the rest of the class and the teacher.
But of course, after the program, you should follow your inspiration and explore and mix/match anyway you want to.
Optimism and confidence are extremely important for the process. To that end, keep in mind that Sean has trained people in psychic exploration for many years. He has successfully taught people to move objects and bend metal with their minds & their subtle energy, to perceive people/places/things distant in space and time (remote viewing/clairvoyance), and to read each other's minds (telepathy) with very strong evidence (see Mind Sight II, containing numerous targets and transcripts) during his intensives.
He always works hard at every event he leads to help his students succeed. The students who meet his effort with their own hard work, persistence, and positive attitudes tend to reach their goals the most. You can feel confident that you're being trained by a skilled instructor.
Some techniques will be done only once or twice, others will be used nearly every day. Some of the repetition may even seem boring, but keep in mind this is serious training, not entertainment.
We will not waste any time listening to lectures or looking at power-point presentations. You will be personally engaged in training from morning to night, except for any group discussion for sharing experiences and asking questions.
You CAN expect to have a ton of fun, learn a lot about yourself, and meet similarly-minded people who also want to support your process.
This is a non-dogmatic, non-religious program. Please refrain from proselytizing your religious or political beliefs during the intensive.

PARTICIPANT SCREENING
As you read this section, please know the purpose of screening is to ensure only appropriate participants attend the program. Doing so ensures a good experience for the whole group.
Good boundaries promote positive & problem-free interpersonal experiences.
WHO THIS PROGRAM IS FOR:
This program is NOT for:
Good boundaries promote positive & problem-free interpersonal experiences.
WHO THIS PROGRAM IS FOR:
- Those who feel a very strong desire to achieve the OBE and/or a lucid dream (Renegade Mystic discusses the difference between the two experiences).
- For participants with their own cars - a willingness to offer carpooling to help participants without cars get around Estes Park during the intensive.
- Those willing to experience a disrupted/interrupted sleep cycle. During the intensive, this will include pseudo-sleep during the daytime and waking up very late at night to train. It could take several days, or longer, to normalize your sleep cycle after the program concludes.
- People who enjoy having fun in small groups, and who also appreciate a thorough training regimen.
- People seeking creative and innovative techniques for exploring consciousness.
- People who are new to psychic development. Beginners welcome! Sean will make sure you feel comfortable and capable with each exercise.
- Also, people who are experienced and looking for extra practice and fun with like-minded people are also welcome.
- Adults only, please do not bring children or animals into the program space.
- People who do believe it is possible to have lucid dreams and out of body experiences.
- People who intend to attend every portion of the training (except when health issues, personal risk issues, or self-care needs arise, of course).
This program is NOT for:
- Aggressive or overly competitive people, and fear mongers. Injecting fear-based or fear-focused ideas into the group conversations during the program is unwelcome behavior, because fear is a primary obstacle to having an OBE.
- Those with a history of severe mental illness such as schizophrenia, dissociative disorders, untreated depression or anxiety, untreated PTSD, suicidal ideation or attempted suicide. Studies show that intense meditation can trigger a mental-health crisis in vulnerable people.
- Dogmatic people who believe there's only one "right" way to do things.
Frequently interrupting the instructor during a training module to describe how other teachers do things differently only distracts the group from the work at hand, wasting valuable time and losing focus. - People with large egos, such as "stars" who continually demand excess attention from the rest of the group. This is a place for sharing, not bragging.
- Lurkers. Everyone will participate in the exercises except when needing extra rest or time for self-care.
- Proof-seekers, pseudo-skeptics, and non-believers. Psychic exploration offers evidence, but not proof. And everyone has different levels of ability, therefore your performance is entirely up to you and cannot be guaranteed. A positive, relaxed, and open attitude is important to success.
- If you simply don't believe OBEs and lucid dreams are real, or possible for you, you won't succeed at having them.
PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS
- Two half-days of the program will involve riding heavy machinery and moving at high speeds. Think "amusement park." Those who are physically fragile, or in chronic pain, or have certain injuries (especially neck/spine) and cannot handle jostling or fast directional-change should not participate in these exercises. You can still attend the program, though, but sit these out. The same goes for anyone with a heart condition, who may be pregnant, or who has other serious health risks.
- There will be a LOT of walking, in town on sidewalks, as well as on natural trails inside the national park. Some walking will be at night, using a flashlight.
- Estes Park is at 7,522 feet (2,293 meters). If you have respiratory, circulatory, or other serious health issues, speak to your medical provider about traveling to high altitudes. You should consider arriving an extra day or two early to acclimate by getting lots of rest and being thoroughly hydrated before exerting yourself.
CODE OF CONDUCT and LIABILITY WAIVER
Participants will agree to a code of conduct (for group safety) and liability waiver during the registration process.
TUITION
Once the program's costs are finalized, the tuition will be posted.
