About "central channel meditation"
The "central channel" is a term referring to the main channel of subtle energy flow in the body. It is referred to in Vajrayana Buddhism, Kundalini Yoga, Hatha Yoga, and has similarities with Toaist micro-cosmic orbit practice. While many people regard it as an actual "place" or "thing" in the body, it is more accurate to think of it as a particular type of experience or way of being present inside one's body. Gathering one's energy and attention in a particular way with regard to this channel has a direct effect on one's awareness, making it clear, bright, and steady, which has further benefits in meditation and insight.
The channel is traditionally said to connect all the major chakras in the body, therefore one is automatically affecting the chakras while doing this type of meditation.
As always, Sean McNamara's priority in guiding the meditation is to allow for unmediated experience to occur for each practitioner. Therefore, he avoids setting definitions or expectation for experience which might cloud or alter your authentic perception of your inner world.
Beginners are totally welcome, and there are no pre-requisites.
